Betty has managed to keep her Western Kansas roots her entire life. She worked for three years at the Colby Clinic then relinquished her duties as an active nurse to start a family with her husband, Skip. They have two children: Robin and Brett.
Betty & Skip's career paths took them both to Oberlin, Kansas where they purchased the Oberlin Livestock in 1980. In 1986, the Petersen family moved to St. Francis, Kansas to mange the St. Francis Livestock Commission Company in conjunction with the Oberlin sale barn.
It is St. Francis that the Petersen's call home. They enjoy the relaxed lifestyle of Western Kansas and the many experiences with the people of the Tri-State area; Working with livestock sales, real estate sales, meeting new people and helping to make the dreams of many home-owners come true.
Betty has been active in the Real Estate business since 1984. In August 2000, Betty opened her own office, Western Auction & Real Estate, LLC as a Supervising Broker.
Betty has been involved in the community for many years. Some of her interests lie within her church were she serves on the Board of Trustees. She is also a member of the St. Francis Chamber of Commerce, and the St. Francis Booster Club.
